Card of the Week: Four of Coins
It is said that those who love money will never have enough, and are never satisfied. The real measure of your wealth is how much you’d be worth if you lost all your money.
The Four of Coins points to the dangers of greed, selfishness and over-indulgence. It is sometimes called the “miser” card. This can represent many problems regarding the acquisition of wealth, material possessions, spending versus thrift, responsibility versus insecurity. It may also relate to trouble in a relationship stemming from hoarding or lack of compassion.
Inverted, this card signifies unexpected obstruction and delay. The cause may be financial or practical, likely from sources outside your control. Try to do the best you can with what you have.
In “Mirror, Mirror” the Enterprise transporter is affected by an ion storm when beaming up a landing party from a Halkan Council meeting. Uhura, Kirk, McCoy and Scott are shocked to suddenly find themselves on the ISS Enterprise, an Imperial Starship of the Terran Empire, a ship nearly identical to their own but populated by merciless crewmembers driven by greed and corruption. The four deduce that they have exchanged places with their counterparts from a parallel universe, and decide to continue to impersonate their savage doubles as they work to find a way to return everyone to their original ships. They contend with crew suspicions, navigate the mirror universe’s twisted politics, evade assassination attempts, and ultimately succeed with unexpected help from Spock, a man of logic and integrity in both universes.
